Nada más nacer Moisés es abandonado río abajo en una cesta de mimbre por una familia judía. La esperanza de que alguien le recoja se cumple cuando la esposa del Faraón de Egipto encuentra al bebé y decide criarle como a uno de sus hijos. Moises, tras descubrir sus orígenes, encara la conducción a la libertad de su pueblo.

Moisés: nacido esclavo hebreo, pudiendo ser príncipe de Egipto, escoge liderar a su pueblo en el Éxodo.
Ramses: el príncipe egipcio nacido para ser coronado faraón.
Miriam: valiente hermana de Moisés. Aarón: hermano mayor de Moisés.
Séfora: mujer medianita que se desposó con Moisés. Jethro: padre de Séfora, sacerdote del pueblo de Madián. Faraón Seti: hermano de la princesa Bithiah y de Nefertiti, que coge afecto a Moisés pero tras descubrir éste sus orígenes hebreos acabará expulsándolo de Egipto. Bithiah: reina egipcia que recoge a Moisés de las aguas del Nilo y lo educa en la corte. Hotep y Huy: sacerdotes en la corte egipcia.
